Swedish Midsummer Party

Around 600 people joined SACC-LA, the Swedish Church and SWEA to celebrate a traditional Swedish Midsummer 2014 at the historical Gilmore Adobe Park at the Grove in West Hollywood, and what a wonderful Midsummer celebration it became!

When everyone had decorated the Maypole with flowers and greenery together, it was time for the traditional Maypole dance, including SACC-LA’s favorite “små grodorna”. Even if many of our American guests had problems to sing the Swedish lyrics they handled the dance moves really great!

We are happy to co-host these Swedish Traditional events together with the Swedish Church and SWEA and we are already looking forward to next year’s Midsummer party!

In the hot California summer day SACC-LA’s Marketing Manager Max Westling serves cold drinks to our thirsty guests.
It’s not a real Midsummer without the traditional Strawberry cake. Luckily the Swedish Church made these wonderful creations!
