Keith Berglund, Principal and Founder of The Berglund Group, has practiced law for over 40 years with four top international law firms, focusing on complex international and commercial litigation, media and entertainment, transactional matters, and debt restructuring. He began his career clerking for federal judges in Chicago. Prior to his legal career, he worked with the Royal Danish Consulate in Chicago and as a financial analyst at Evans Products and Northern Trust Company.
Mr. Berglund has represented a wide range of international clients, including major corporations, financial institutions, public figures, and entertainment leaders such as Pope Saint John Paul II, Universal Entertainment, BMG, Sony, Fox Films, GE Capital, and Citibank Industrial Credit. His practice spans Europe, the Pacific Rim, and Latin America. Notable work includes involvement with Business Week’s “Stock of the Year” (United Inns) and major litigation such as the widely covered TLC trial.
He holds a B.S. in Finance from Eastern Illinois University, an MBA in Finance/Accounting, and a J.D. with honors from DePaul University, along with executive certification from Harvard University’s Business of Entertainment, Media, and Sports program.
Mr. Berglund is licensed in California, Illinois, Texas, and Georgia. He holds an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell and has been recognized by Chambers Group and Super Lawyers (top 5% in California). He is also active in philanthropy and serves as a Trustee for the Natural History Museum / La Brea Tar Pits of Los Angeles County, as well as the Mentor Foundation USA.
